Important information about
the Swedish school in Erbil

We have now received response from the Swedish National Agency for Education to our application.
The answer means that we can start school, but that we do not receive any financial support during the first year.
We will therefore finance the school entirely with student fees.
It will be a Swedish school with a Swedish curriculum and teachers who are qualified to teach in a Swedish school abroad.
We will determine the student fee within the next few weeks.
The teachers who applied for work at the Swedish school in Erbil will be contacted separately.

From 15 August, we will be in Erbil, to arrange a parent meeting and talk to everyone who has submitted an expression of interest for children to the school.
We will also meet with the Kurdish school authorities who decide on approval for a new school.
Our plan is for the school to start on Monday, September 20, 2021.
