Now it's time to apply
to the Swedish school in Erbil!

If you are a Swedish citizen and have children of school age - then a Swedish school is perfect for you and your children!
The Swedish association Pak together with its sister organization in Kurdistan will start a Swedish school in Erbil in the autumn of 2021. We have been planning for a long time, and various things have put a damper on us, but now it's serious:
  1. We submitt an application to the Swedish National Agency for Education for approval to be called a Swedish school abroad. The application must be submitted no later than 15 November and we need at least 20 students who register at the school, for the National Agency for Education to approve. (You can read more below about the Swedish regulations for approving Swedish schools abroad).
  2. We have been waiting for the Kurdish regional authorities, which must also approve the school. We have had discussions with the Minister of Education, and submit the application to the Kurdish school authority as soon as we have completed the Swedish application, ie immediately after 15 November.
  3. The Corona pandemic has delayed our work, but now we are convinced that our work will succeed!

We encourage all parents who are interested in a Swedish school for their children to contact us - write an email to info@svenskaskolankurdistan.se or call (whatsup) one of the following phone numbers
